When I was looking at starting my home based business in network marketing I wish I would’ve learned a few things on the industry and about how to market my self to avoid some problems I ran into. In this article I will be going over some of the problems I faced.
Network marketing home business problem #1:Not learning what network marketing meant was huge. It’s the industry I’m in and I don’t know what it means? As I was out prospecting one of the common questions I got was: “what is network marketing?” This question always got me because I had a hard time describing something I didn’t know the definition to.
Network marketing home business problem #2: Bypassing to learn my primary company to a “T”, not learning this kept me from offering a good presentation in turn giving me appearance of not being a professional in the industry thus not jumping from prospect to prospect.
Network marketing home business problem #3:After learning my company thinking that I could do it all on my own. I lacked to work hand in hand with my up-line and doing 3-way calls when I could. What this led to was over working my self and exhausting my self, leading my self into doubting the industry and my company as well. I thought both just didn’t work.
Network marketing home business problem #4:Throwing up my opportunity on my friends and family, not using my online resources and collaborating with my business partners on how to approach people properly. Luckily for me I stop before I turned all of them against me. Have you done this? ha.
Network marketing home business problem#5: Thinking that blowing up my Facebook page with my “business venture” was going to make you and I millions, right… If you have a huge downline and you DON’T want anyone signing up with you, market your business on Facebook all day long! I learned that social networks are about socializing and connecting with people with like interests not blasting my opportunity like a maniac. There is a right way to promote my business online and it’s not on my personal FB page.
To sum this up, I learned my company products, how to present properly, effectively following up, earning my professional belt in the arena, dripping on prospects to leave them with the thirst to ask more and creating a Fan page to market my self properly. I would say it was a great learning experience. Five years from today I will look back and laugh at my self, in a sense this is pretty comedic. LOL.
