Follow the upstream of Brisbane River and you would find the city’s best inner suburbs. There are eclectic mixes of homes, steep hills, and subtropical greenery. Nearby is the popular University of Queensland. Within a close range is Indooroopilly, among the most oddly named suburbs not just in Brisbane but also in the entire Queensland. The suburb of Milton boasts of many historical sites. The XXXX Brewery could be found there, built in 1878 and has since become a state icon. Communities within and around this suburb have gone used to the usually pungent smells coming from the brewery. Beer lovers would surely enjoy touring the brewery. An ordinary tour of XXXX Brewery could last more than an hour, by appointment. Visitors who come for the tour are treated with deluxe sampling of the popular Ale House Bar beer.
In the suburb could also be found the legendary Lang Park. The site is alive with numerous cafés and restaurants, plus a mock of Paris, France’s landmark, the Eiffel Tower. Vacationers would rave about upscale shops and flea markets along the Park Road. Rosalie is another suburb, close to Milton. It is also known for outstanding restaurants and bustling cafés. Check out Freestyle Tout, the city’s sole dessert-only restaurant.
Paddington is lined with many Queenslander-style homes. Vacationers and residents could spend a whole day relaxing through shopping, eating, and just wandering around. Most old buildings found in this suburb could be considered as among Queensland’s oldest. Such edifices are concentrated at the main commercial strips of Latrobe Terrace and Given Terrace.
Kangaroo Point is a suburb that has been popular as a recreation spot near Brisbane CBD. People come to enjoy the Story Bridge Adventure Climb, the South Bank Parklands, and the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. The area is also teeming with many resort accommodations that are popular to tourists and vacationers from all over the world.
