The cost of medical treatment has really risen over the past several decades. When you are accepted into the Medicaid program (many times there is an online form that you can fill out and submit) you will be given a Medicaid card. It is very important that you carry that card with you at all times and that you show it to the doctor before the do any treatments. If the doctor will not cooperate with the Medicaid program then you need to find another doctor so you do not get stuck paying the bill yourself. Also be aware that Medicaid will not provide 100% of the cost of your medical treatments. It is based on a sliding scale according to your income.
