Have you ever heard the term, “the money’s in the list”? I’m sure you have, and it’s 100% true. The more email subscribers you get, the more likely you are to get sales, and if you’re marketing to your customer database via email… the more likely you are to get repeat sales for free. And this will account for 80% of your total business profits.
Many people say that email marketing is dead, but that just doesn’t make sense. How can email marketing be dead when 80% of your profits will come from repeat sales from existing customers? If this is true, then a lot of people would be out of business. How else will you contact your customers if you’re not using emails?
Email marketing is definitely alive and well. I’ve had customers who signed up to my email list and bought from me off the second email to them. For other customers, it takes about 2 weeks for them to order. This is my average, but every so often I get those impulse sales from buyers who need a solution right away.
So what kind of email marketing strategies could you be using to take your business to the next level? Well, one of the things that you can do is to switch from using HTML emails to regular text emails. With regular text emails, you know for sure how your emails will look.
Most of the email services out there have their images blocked by default for security reasons, and this can make your email look tacky and out of shape. HTML emails look nice, but if you’re persistent about it, try it out in your business and see if it works for you. But I’m confident that text emails will increase your sales and profits.
Another thing you will want to do is to minimize your unsubscribes. If someone clicks on your unsubscribe link and want to remove themselves from your list, offer them a free gift just to get them to remain on your list. A lot of people will go for this, and this may just be enough to turn would be unsubscribers into people that buy from you.
Also, how often are you emailing your list? Do you do it once a month? Twice a month? Once a week? Every 3 days? Everyday? This is a pivotal question that you need to ask in your business. I personally think you should refrain from emailing everyday, and for most businesses… I think you should email about every 3-5 days.
The last aspect of your email marketing plan is to focus on getting more subscribers. Keep marketing your business all over the place and run ads so that you can get more subscribers. One of the best ways to do this is with pay per click advertising. If your product costs $100 or more, and it’s proven to convert well via email… maybe you should promote this product by getting tons of leads and marketing to them.
With these email marketing tips, it should be a cinch to earn more money with your campaigns. I think you should get started on using them in your business today.
