South Auckland

For a young family who needs the extra space, looking to save some money on living expenses, there are definite benefits to making the move south.
Manurewa and Papakura’s median 2 bedroom rental price is 300 NZD per week, but both offer larger sections with more space for what you pay for. If you can handle the drive or train to work or you don’t have to commute every day of the week, the suburbs further south offer some definite benefits.
Local amenities mean that you hardly need to travel into the CBD anyway – the area is well catered for and both Papakura and Manukau have their own town centres, malls and supermarkets.
