Articles give you a platform to create unique, quality content embedded with two or more back links to your website, per article. Even more sweet, is people who have a higher interest in your market will access these backlinks; a more targeted audience with a greater potential for sales. How is this possible? They are looking for answers, they find them in your articles and they click on your backlinks, thereby increasing your chances of expanding your client base and securing more sales.
The importance of Article Marketing is monumental. I know it might sound intimidating, but if you are new to the idea of Article Marketing, let me ease your fears. Article Marketing needn’t be difficult and for its tremendous potential value to your business, it is certainly worth the effort. It is possibly the best tool to date that will increase your website traffic, attract customers and build your brand.
Tips for creating your article
Squidoo and Hubpages, according to some, are two of the highest value (free) website creation services when it comes to creating traffic through SEO and also incorporating a money-through-advertisement element. It allows you to build credibility by writing about what you know using powerful keywords that will direct more clients to your optin page.
I’ll give you a trick. A heaven-sent tool. Granted, it’s an old trick, but it’s underused and incredibly valuable to your Article Marketing endeavor. Google’s AdWords.
If you have a keyword in mind that you consider to be most directly related to your article, enter that word into the search field and Google AdWords will show you how often that keyword is searched for. You can play around with this, using synonyms for your original keywords and experiment with what turns up as the most-searched-for keywords that will give you a greater chance of being found by readers and use the keywords with the biggest numbers instead.
Searching your competition pays off
Really, there is no end for the ways in which you may use SEO to your advantage. I would highly recommend using search engines to see where it is your target audience is going for their answers.
Ah, yes. Now that I mention it, it’s a pretty darn good idea, huh?
Pull up Google, or any other search engine, and search for what you imagine your target audience is looking for. If you are a candy bar vendor, search for something like “Where can I buy lots of candy bars?” and see where the search engines suggest you go. You see what your target audience sees. Now, how can you put this to use?
By digging this up, you can compile a list of where people you want to visit your website are going. These sites are ideally where you should make your guest posts. That’s right, you shouldn’t just create articles for your own blog, but engage others on different sites to show the readers that you know what you’re talking about (and include backlinks to support your opinions). Guest-blogging on other websites that appeal to your target audience is a great way to funnel readers to your own site.
What if I’m low on content?
When rewrites merely rephrase what you’ve already written, the quality of your campaign is cheapened. Yes, creating numerous articles on the same topic in order to provide more backlinks to your site may increase the traffic to it, but we are dealing with readers, not random, computer-generated numerical statistics. It is, of course, totally up to you, but I would not sacrifice the quality of my articles and the impact of the value on the reader in the name of having more links.
This is not to say that you shouldn’t rewrite articles in a different light just to provide more content to publish; I absolutely advocate that you rewrite them. I merely caution you to be certain that when you do rewrite those articles, or have your writer do this, make the new articles so that the originality and quality are present.
