Brisbane City Council has spent $100 million over four years upgrading more than 38 kilometres of cycle paths in and around Brisbane. The Council’s Bikeway Program required the construction of on-road bike lanes, the establishment of bike awareness zones as well as the construction of off-road and shared paths.
The Bikeway Projects completed so far include: Bicentennial Bikeway, Tarragindi Bikeway, Cabbage Tree Creek and the Bulimba Creek Bikeway.
And the ongoing expansion of the Brisbane bike path network continues to drive the Brisbane labour hire market. Currently, there are active public transport projects underway in the Brisbane CBD as well as the City’s North, South and West.

Brisbane Bicentennial Bikeway upgrade
The Council is progressively upgrading the Bicentennial Bikeway that runs along the Brisbane River and connects the CDB to Toowong.
Brisbane South Projects
Greenslopes Nicholson Street Bikeway
The Nicholson Street Bikeway will connect the Greenslopes Busway Station and Nicholson Street, Greenslopes through the former Stephens Mountain Quarry.
