The EMS industry is booming and new EMTs are needed daily accross the US. Because of the need, pay scales have reached almost $40,000 on average annually for EMTs in Texas. That is almost a $5000 increase from 2019.
Todays training methods have evolved to fit todays modern society. EMT up to Paramedic can be learned outside of the traditional, expensive, college/university venues. Nowadays, some of the best training programs can be found at the private level.

Three, PERCOM’s programs are self-paced(max time allowed does apply) allowing seasoned students faster completion. PERCOM also allows students to self suspend their enrollment for up to 6 months if life takes an unexpected turn. Most all schools will not do that, will drop that student, and charge them again full price if they come back in the future. Not PERCOM.
