There is a reason it is called Network “Marketing”, because we have to market to generate interest in our opportunity. All marketers in any MLM want to know how to get network marketing leads. Statistics show that approximately 95% of the people that start in network marketing quit after only 60 days. These are some of the most common reasons they quit:

1. Lack of Marketing Training

2. Lack of Leads

3. Lack of Branding

4. Lack of Marketing System

5. Lack of Duplication

As in all things in life, we get better at what we do with practice. Like the saying goes, if you want something bad enough you will make it happen. Pretty simple concept; however, so often people in network marketing think they can or worse, should do it themselves. Often people have not been given the proper expectations. Well it is not, if you do not know what you’re doing.

So now lets discuss what these methods are and how to get network marketing leads. You have two ways: Free and Paid methods.

Free Lead Methods:

1. Flyers and Dropcards

2. Word of mouth – Family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc.

3. Posting on Forums

4. Free Classifieds – Craigslist, Backpage, etc.

5. Article Marketing

6. Social Media – Face Book, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

7. Video Marketing – YouTube, Viddler, etc.

Starting out it is recommended to only pick one method and really commit to learning it to the point of getting regular leads from it. Once you have done this you then can pick another and do the same. By simply doing this you will quickly start building momentum in your lead flow. And with time the numbers will increase much higher.

Like everything in life this will take time with your share of trial and errors, if you do not have a mentor to guide you through. Some of the trials and errors you will make can be minimized by having a personal mentor and coach.

The second category is Paid Leads. These should only be used if you have a budget to do so.

Paid Lead Methods:

1. Buy cold leads and semi-warm leads

2. Email lists

3. Pay Per Click (PPC)

4. Solo Ads / eZine advertising

5. Many other advertising mediums

Many believe that faster results come from the paid methods. When building a business I do not think it is as important that you build it fast rather than stable. But, absolutely if you have the funds the leads come rushing in if done correctly. the downside of most paid methods is than when you stop paying the leads stop coming. If you can it would be best to incorporate a couple of both free and paid methods in your business model. You should expect this for every day during the first 3 months.

Many marketers don’t believe this is possible, not even remotely. It is critical to have all the right tools to ensure your success, like a marketing system. At the end of the day you get out of your business what you put into it.

Statistics show that over 95% people do not succeed in this business but it is not because it doesn’t work. It is simply that 95% of the people don’t do what is needed or don’t know how. The best thing is to pick a method and map out a plan for the first 90-days. Then after you master that method do it again. A MLM mentor can provide you with a detailed proven road map to help you reach your final goad faster than doing it by yourself. This will save you a tremendous amount of time and money by following a proven path to your ultimate success.
