My favourite item in the fast automobiles, opulent lifestyle, and technologically advanced world of today would have to be our coffee maker. You’ve probably purchased appliances throughout the years, and no matter how fantastic they were advertised to be, they always ended up hidden in a cupboard’s back. How many gadgets have you purchased in the same manner? Think about all the gadgets you’ve bought to slice and dice food, but you STILL use a knife when cooking. Simply said, getting them out, cleaning them, and putting them away can be too difficult at times. Easy to reach for a knife.
On the other hand, our coffee maker has been sitting on our kitchen bench for more than 4 years, and I can honestly state that, aside from vacations away from home, it has been used almost every day. One machine in particular won’t be hidden away in the back of a cabinet. The majority of coffee makers are gorgeous to look at, so having one on your counter is a big benefit. They are also quite small and stylish, so they suit in any kitchen. I’ve been spoiled with my morning coffee for the past four years because my husband gets up first every morning and goes to the kitchen to prepare coffee. Therefore, I have the option of enjoying my delicious coffee in bed or going to my favourite location to have my morning “cuppa.”
Given that coffee makers may be anywhere from relatively reasonable to very expensive, I find it astounding that we have one of these and that most people can afford it. However, as customers, we now have access to high-end, cutting-edge equipment that was previously only seen in cafes and restaurants. We only purchase whole beans for our machine; while we can also use ground coffee, we prefer to let the machine grind the coffee as we make the coffee. This guarantees that the coffee is excellent and fresh, and what a delightful aroma fills the entire house. I haven’t drank instant coffee since our coffee maker moved in; the thought of it makes me gag. My preferred coffee is a flat white or a cappuccino, although most coffee makers can produce a wide range of coffee flavours to fit your preferences, such as latte art, long blacks, etc.
When guests arrive, coffee makers are a welcome addition. Because my husband has almost adopted our coffee maker, I can relax and chat with our guests while he prepares their coffee. Our coffee maker is popular with both our family and friends. It always feels good to relax and read a good book while enjoying a cup of coffee that tastes exactly like one you would get in a coffee shop. There are few things better than that. Then there are the financial savings; even though we still enjoy stopping by coffee shops periodically, having our own machine at home significantly lowers our expenses.
Additionally, I believe that using fresh coffee beans must be far healthier for you than using instant coffee because it just tastes and smells good. Coffee is full of antioxidants and even helps with weight loss, but as with anything, everything should be used in proportion. Coffee can speed up your metabolism, curb your hunger, and even aid in body detoxification. Did you know that a growing body of evidence indicates that those who consume coffee have lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, and dementia? Although this appears to be very promising, you are not free to overindulge.
Another fantastic benefit of owning our machine is that we can purchase a wide variety of gourmet coffee beans, as well as flavor-infused beans and even speciality coffees, when we go to markets or go on vacation. So, if you’re considering buying a coffee maker, I suggest checking them out. I’m sure you’ll find one that fits your needs and your budget. Our machine cost about $790 AUD, but it has more than compensated for itself over the course of four years, especially when you consider that a typical trip to a coffee shop often costs between $15 and $30.
Enjoy a beautiful cup of coffee today; take your time, sip it, and think. Enjoy the moment, take in your surroundings, savour each sip of coffee, and make it a special part of your day to spend 10 or so minutes in your own little world. It will do you the world of good.
