Mobile marketing is the wave of the future for marketers. There has been a lot of talk recently about this relatively new method of advertising, but not many people are actually utilizing it. It is a viable source of making good money, though, and there are many reasons why.
First of all, as compared to internet marketing, the audience is huge. There are about two billion people who use the internet regularly worldwide, as opposed to way over five billion mobile users. Smart phones are also becoming more and more popular, with over sixty million users at this point. Applications are also used in mobile marketing; billions of apps are downloaded every year. The rates at which the number of mobile phone users there are is rising is astronomical. Experts think that by the year 2015, over 22 billion apps will be downloaded every year. So obviously the market is there.
One of the other great things about mobile marketing is that the advertising costs are relatively low compared to internet marketing. If you do not know what you are doing, you could easily go broke trying to buy traffic from the major search engines, with some clicks, or visitors, costing upwards of $6.00 each. Mobile marketing clicks cost anywhere from less than a penny to about 20 cents. This means you have room for error, and can test your different products without worrying about breaking your bank.
Finally, since this is such a new advertising medium and the competition is so low, you have the opportunity for great conversion rates for your products using mobile marketing. Also, the ability to target by age, country sex, etc. will also raise your rates of conversion. The right product in front of the right people could mean a whole lot of cash in your pocket!
Since this is such a new advertising medium, it is easy to be skeptical, but with great conversion rates, low-cost clicks and not very much competition, the risks are small and the rewards are large. Mobile marketing will be huge and make a lot of people a lot of money. Get in while the getting is good!
