When it comes to email marketing, you need a large list to succeed. Sure you may get 1 or 2 sales immediately in the early stages of list building, but you should know that for the long term success of your internet business, you need to build a nice large list if you want to see sales everyday.
And truthfully, doing list building and email marketing is easy. The hardest part is getting people to convert into customers. That’s why I say you need a large list to see some real results, and that early on in your list building efforts you will see sales sporadically. So don’t get discouraged if you’re not seeing sales immediately from your efforts.
One day you may get a sale, then 2 weeks may past until you get another one. Then you might get 2 sales within the following week. The more you promote yourself online, and the more you build your list, the more your sales will converge on each other and you will be getting sales 24/7 like clockwork.
So if you’re not doing opt-in email marketing, what is it that you’re doing? Are you leading people to your main sales letter page to see if they will immediately buy from you, or are you leading them to a “squeeze page” where you can capture their email address and start emailing them regularly?
Hopefully you’re using the squeeze page model, because if you aren’t, you won’t get to build a list, and you won’t see the breakthrough sales and profits that you are looking for in your business. A squeeze page is designed solely for the purpose of capturing an email address. It’s usually a very short page with very little content, and it’s all geared towards getting someone to enter their email address to get them to receive messages from you. The more people you get to this squeeze page, and the more of these people who sign up… the more money you will potentially make with this strategy.
Building a large list doesn’t have to be hard. In fact it isn’t hard. With a small advertising budget, you could be getting 50-60 new leads per day. But if advertising isn’t your style, you could always fall back on free marketing. Strategies such as blogging, video marketing, forum marketing, and article marketing are ways that you can drive lots of people to your squeeze page.
Email marketing is here to stay for a long while and I think you should utilize it to the best of your ability. Don’t give up in your attempts to make money with your email list. Be patient and watch your list grow, and continue to send out helpful information on a regular basis. This is the profit remedy for making money with your email list.
