To be honest, I don’t think I was even close in my first 60 days as an Affiliate Marketer. My fellow gurus will tell you that it is easy to make money online using their strategies or tactics. They will even show you how they can make $5000 to $10,000 with a simple click of one button.
What they don’t tell you is that it takes a lot of time and effort to build up that massive list of prospects. I’m going to be honest with you. The cold hard truth is, behind all that glamour and glitz of success is a lot of hard work. When I first started out as an Affiliate Marketer, there were 2 things that I did right. I found a very profitable niche and I focused on building up my list. If you want to become a successful Affiliate Marketer, these are the two most crucial things to do.
There are many niches available in Affiliate Marketing. Choose the right niche, and you are halfway to Affiliate Marketing success. What is a good niche? A good niche is one that is highly profitable with a large market. To earn $5000 or even $10,000, you need to go where the money is. Examples of money making niches include the self-help niche and the health niche. You stand to make a lot more money having 0.1% market share of the million dollar health niche, rather than 100% of a poor selling niche.
Once you have chosen your niche, the most important thing to do is to build your list. To build a profitable business, it is essential that you build a list of prospects that you can sell products to again and again. There are many other ways to make money via Affiliate Marketing. You could create a blog or website or write articles, and sell products on these pages. But these are slow. The fastest way is to build a list. To do this, you need to create an opt-in page which you can use to collect the names and emails of prospective customers. Remember, you want to be able to market to your list repeatedly. To achieve, you need to build a strong trusting relationship with them.
List building will take time, effort and a little upfront investment. But if you work at it, you will soon have your own list of 5000 or even 10,000 subscribers. By that time, you’ll be able to make $5000 with just a click of a button. Just like those gurus.
