Everybody in Network Marketing says they want to be successful. The problem is most of us don’t act like it. What is more important? What you say or what you do? Remember the old saying – Talk Is Cheap.
You will hear about all the tools that are necessary to start you on the right track in your MLM business. You will hear about selecting the right company, the right sponsor, and the right marketing system. You will hear about how Network Marketing leads are the lifeblood of your business, and how it will die without them. The idea of duplication will be pounded into your head by your upline and other trainers you might have. There are several MLM recruiting techniques you will hear about. All this and more is extremely important. If you don’t understand this stuff, you will struggle. Just like any other business, there are important things you must know and do in order to be successful.
But the things you must have before everything else are these: a strong desire to succeed, a passion for your business, and a clear understanding of what you want. Things will sometimes go wrong, and you may become frustrated. This is when unsuccessful people quit. On the other hand, this is when successful people redouble their efforts and keep moving forward. If you regard this business as “just something to do”, or “not a real business”, or “just part time until I find something else”, you are wasting your time and money, and you are wasting the time of those who are trying to help you succeed. A Network Marketing business is just as real as any other business. And if you approach it right, it can be much more profitable than other home based businesses. And I’m talking about profits for a lifetime because of the residual income aspect of Network Marketing.
I saw an interesting video a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I never knew who was in the video, so I am not able to give him credit. A story was told about a guy who wanted to succeed in MLM. He went to a guru for advice. The guru said OK, let’s go to the beach. The guy said he didn’t want to swim, he wanted to succeed. But he went with the guru anyway. When they were in the water, the guru grabbed the guy and held his head under water for 30 seconds or so. After the guru pulled they guy up he said “What did you want most when you were under water? What did you want more than anything?!!” The guy said he wanted air. The guru told him, “That’s right! You wanted air and nothing else – that’s all you could think of. When you want to succeed as much as you wanted that air, then you will succeed!”
Of course this story is just that – a story. But the point is easy to see. Opportunities can bring difficulties. Clear goals and a passion for success are what can help you overcome those difficulties. Having a successful Network Marketing business is not something that normally happens overnight. Think in terms of a marathon rather than a 100 meter dash.
