Many people think that network marketing is tough or that it doesn’t work. Most times they are uninformed or poorly trained in the industry so after months or years of losing money, they simply quit and conclude that the industry as a whole doesn’t work.
Have you ever come across such people that are so aggressive about why they hate network marketing.
The truth is that if such people had been better trained and if they didn’t quit, they would have had a very good chance of being successful in Network Marketing.
I remember when my 5 year old son started learning how to ride a bicycle. The first day he tried riding it, it was not a very pleasant experience. He fell over his bike, bruised his knees came home crying.
The next time he tried, he had a similar experience. For one reason or the other, he just wasn’t getting the hang of it. However, he kept on trying and and we encouraged him about a month later, it finally clicked and now, he’s very good on his bike and even races the other children in the neighbourhood.
Now, while he was learning, there were times he would come to me tearfully that he couldn’t do it, or he would try getting on the bike for 1 or 2 minutes and decide that he needed a break.
I’m sure you are starting to get the picture I am trying to paint.
A lot of people in network marketing quit too soon before they have even had a chance of success.
I’ve had people on my team who were so excited about the opportunity, signed up, spoke to 5 friends and decided to quit because those 5 friends were not interested in the products or opportunity.
That is so pathetic because if they really understand the power of network marketing, they would not base their success on 5 friends or 20 friends or however many friends.
Some people who claim that network marketing is tough, actually approach their business with a hobby attitude.
I always tell my team that if you treat your business as a hobby then of course, you will also get paid hobby money.
Like my son who would try to ride his bike for a few minutes and then decide that he wanted to play with something else, such network marketers work their business for a day or two and then take a weeks break and then work it for another day or two and decide that they need a break to settle a few things at work.
It is not surprising that such a person would say that network marketing is tough because the reality is that they have not made a deep commitment to their business. They have not made a decision to give it all it takes to reach their goals.
Such people end up sponsoring one or two friends and then they go on Facebook tagging all their friends and posting links all over their wall about their new business. When they fail to recruit anyone, they simply conclude that network marketing doesn’t work and that marks the end of their business.
Sadly, that represents 97% of people who get into the industry. They may have joined out of excitement when they saw the compensation plan or they just wanted to give network marketing a trial, but clearly they missed the point. Success in this industry is not for the timid, average person or faint hearted.
Network Marketing can be simple and successful if you have the right tools and training that will help you build it into a massively successful business.
