One of the best NBA draughts in history was the 1996 one, and Steve Nash was a part of it. He was chosen with the fifteenth choice. NBA teams weren’t sure if they wanted to utilise their pick to select a short, Caucasian man who appeared unathletic. Additionally, throughout his first season, he wasn’t really the main attraction. He only made 23 three-pointers throughout the season, scoring 3.3 points on average in 10.5 minutes. He had to wait a few more years, and in 2000, he finally became well-known. During the 2000–2001 season, he led the Mavs to the playoffs for the first time since 1990, averaging 15.6 points and 1.3 threes per game. He performed even better the next season, averaging 1.9 three-pointers per game, and was selected to his first all-star game and All-NBA Third Team. He made shots from downtown and finished fifth in 3-point shooting %. (0.455). His Mavericks had a strong start to the playoffs, sweeping Kevin Garnett and the Timberwolves. Dallas made it to the second round, but were defeated there by the talented Sacramento Kings, ending their campaign. The Mavericks “big three” consisted of Nash, Nowitzki, and Finley, who were all excellent shooters. For more details, please click here هاك شارب شوتر

Dallas first displayed their true potential by winning the 2003 playoffs and making it to the conference finals. Nash missed the most of the regular season but made a significant contribution for the Mavs in the postseason. He made 37 out of 76 attempts from 3-point range, which was devastating. The following season, Nash and the Mavericks won 52 games, but they were defeated by Sacramento in the first round, and Nash eventually left for free agency.

At the time, Nash was 30 years old. Mark Cuban made the decision to centre the club around the younger Nowitzki, and when his old team, the Phoenix Suns, gave him a higher salary, he elected to go back to Arizona.

Phoenix was a youthful team that seemed to be missing one important component, and Nash was the genuine deal. He dramatically revamped the Suns organisation, which went from having a 29-53 record to having the best 62-20 record in the NBA in the 2004–05 season. Steve had developed into an exceptional player from a fringe all-star, and his Suns were determined to win the NBA championship. The Suns had a strong start to the playoffs, winning over Steve’s previous team in the second round, but they were unable to handle the Spurs in the conference finals, ending their season. But the Suns had a fantastic postseason run, and Nash was outstanding. In the playoffs, he scored a career-high 23.9 points per game on average. He was more of a scorer than shooter throughout these playoffs as only 63 of his 358 points were scored on three-pointers.

Amare Stoudemire sustained a really bad injury the next year. But Nash continued to be outstanding, and the Suns were still dominant. He and Magic Johnson are the only point guards in NBA history to have each won the MVP award twice. He also made his debut as a starter at the all-star game this year. Again making it to the conference finals, the Suns ultimately fell to Dallas, who were Nash’s old team.

Nash increased his three-point shooting in 2006–07, as well as his percentage. He averaged 2.1 three-pointers per game with a 0.455 three-point percentage. Steve was nominated for MVP again, but he was unsuccessful in winning it because the Suns were unable to advance past the second round of the playoffs. Nash was an extremely effective long-range shooter throughout the playoffs, making 19 of his 39 attempts.

The following regular season was Nash’s greatest in terms of shooting; he hit 179 three-pointers and shot 47% from outside the arc, both career highs. The Suns enjoyed a strong regular season, winning 55 games, but San Antonio eliminated them from the playoffs for the third time in four years.

For the first time since Steve moved back to Phoenix, the Suns missed the playoffs in 2008-09, but Nash was still a capable shooter, making 44% of his three-point attempts. This year, Nash has shown that he is still an exceptional player who is capable of elevating his club to a new level. Because the Suns are overshadowed by teams like LA, Boston, Orlando, and Cleveland, Phoenix is not considered a major title candidate this year. However, it is up to Nash to disprove the doubters. The ability to shoot far away is still one of Steve’s primary weapons.
