I couldn’t believe how long I’d been making regular blog posts and using article marketing for my top tier, direct sales online business without truly understanding specific keyword research strategy! All that time I thought I had a clue…

Like many frustrated internet marketers, I thought I’d been doing everything I’d learned and needed to do. I started by thinking about my target audience. Then I composed a list of keywords and did research (though now I realize this was not in-depth research!).

Next came using Anchor Text and Hyper Links to help draw people to my sites.

Still the results weren’t coming. What the heck was I doing wrong? What wasn’t I doing?

Can you relate? It seems like everyone is a self-declared “expert”, yet in reality no one seems to be able to provide specific and focused information that will teach you how to get actual results!

I agree with two of the internet marketing industry’s most inspirational leaders, David Wood and Jay Kubassek, the most empowering way to approach attraction marketing is to provide real value online. This means valued content having truly substantive information to help people learn and improve their business.

For me, it boiled down to making an absolute commitment to get specific with my focus.

One of my main goals is to become an expert article marketer. This means I am learning and striving to become an expert author.

The sub-goals for this include how to go about determining my target audience, honing my writing to develop high-end copywriting skills, learning how to set up and use back-links to get SEO optimization, and utilizing specific keyword research strategy.

As this article is focused on empowering your online marketing using specific keyword research strategy, let’s discuss exactly what this means.

First, here’s a non-inclusive list of reasons why there are so many frustrated internet marketers today:
• Individuals decide to “try” online marketing, they do not make a passionate, resolute commitment.
• They do not have a comprehensive step-by-step system to plug into so they can really learn and apply.
• Being new “entrepreneurs”, people do not understand the vital importance of developing a business plan.
• The biggest reason the majority of people having a internet marketing start-up business do NOT get RESULTS is they do not have a big enough WHY to drive them to do the work, to do what it takes.

* Another huge reason they do not get RESULTS is they lack a specific focus, including that they do not understand how to use specific keyword research strategy.

When it comes to article marketing or video marketing, the most important components are to do your homework, understand the content you are producing and realizing your results will be much better the more specific keyword research strategy you use.

Select a truly focused content topic and do keyword research to select the best specific keyword to use.

This can be done using the combination of Google Free Keyword Tool (see the link in my author resource box below for an article explaining the basics for using Google Free Keyword Tool) and doing research by plugging keywords into Google. Putting quotes around your keyword or keyword phrase will bring up more relevant results.
