Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing our planet today. We’ve seen the effects of rising global temperatures, from melting glaciers and rising sea levels to extreme weather events and species extinction. Despite this, the fight for climate protection is far from over. With new technologies and innovative solutions, we can still make a difference and slow down the devastating effects of climate change. In this blog post, we’ll discuss the current state of climate protection and explore what more can be done to ensure a brighter future for our planet.

Despite progress, emissions continue to rise

Despite recent progress in the fight for climate protection, global emissions of greenhouse gases continue to rise. This means that we are still on track to breach the recommended 2°C warming limit by 2100, with potentially catastrophic consequences.
Unfortunately, the current rate of emissions is outpacing the level of decarbonization necessary to avoid this dangerous threshold. With an estimated 70% of global emissions coming from just 100 companies, it’s clear that these large corporate entities have an outsized influence on our global climate.
We must therefore continue to urge these companies to become net zero emitters and help create a sustainable future for generations to come. This can be done through the implementation of renewable energy sources and the reduction of non-renewable sources of energy such as coal, oil and gas. In addition, companies must also increase their efforts to reduce their own carbon footprints by implementing new technologies, improving energy efficiency and investing in green infrastructure.

Major economies are not doing enough

The world is facing an ever-growing threat of climate change and it is essential that we do all we can to reduce its impact. Unfortunately, many of the world’s largest economies are not doing enough to tackle this crisis.
Recent reports have shown that while global emissions of carbon dioxide have been steadily decreasing, they are still not decreasing fast enough to meet the Paris Agreement goals. These goals are meant to keep global warming at no more than 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels by the end of this century. If we don’t start making major changes soon, the consequences could be catastrophic.
Unfortunately, the United States, China, and India are three of the top contributors to global emissions and all three countries are failing to take action on climate change. In the United States, President Trump has promised to pull out of the Paris Agreement, weakening the fight against climate change. China and India, meanwhile, are still relying heavily on coal for energy and have yet to make any meaningful commitments towards renewable sources of energy.
The world needs to come together in order to fight climate change, but unfortunately it seems that many major economies are dragging their feet. It is up to us to make our voices heard and urge our governments to take action before it is too late. We must make sure that these economies understand that they must step up and take responsibility for their emissions if we are going to protect our planet and future generations.

Climate change is a global problem

The effects of climate change are already being felt around the world, with some of the most vulnerable people and places experiencing the worst impacts. The effects of climate change are often more pronounced in poorer countries, since they lack the resources and infrastructure to cope with its effects.
However, climate change is a problem that affects everyone, regardless of where they live or how much money they make. That’s why it’s important for us to take action now and start making real changes to protect our planet. This can include reducing our carbon emissions, switching to renewable energy sources, planting trees and reducing waste.
