Network Marketing After 50+ Years
So many people say network marketing is an opportunity like no other, because it offers the opportunity to anyone and everyone to become financially free without regards to their background, economic situation or level of education, etc. Unfortunately, the impact that has been generated by network marketing/multilevel marketing in society has not been very significant? At least not to the 97% who never make it past their first year.
Success In Network Marketing, Why Is It So Rare?
There are statistics that indicate that 1 of each 4 millionaires in the United States has made their fortune thanks to an mlm business. Also the industry has grown from the times of Amway to the point in which nowadays there exist more than 27,000 unique companies of a network marketing platform.
But a question exists that we should all consider…
Shouldn’t network marketing, after so many years in existence have made a difference in society, made a difference in the quality of life for so many people involved all around the world? After more than half a century in existence, why hasn’t it had more of a positive impact, for all of the people involved?
The truth is that this industry has remained short in producing a change of great scale because only 2% to 3% of the people achieve considerable results. These big achievers are not in anyway different except that they have a system that works, and they work the system. Over 90% of net-workers leave before their first year. This means very little to most MLM companies since in spite of the high levels of turnover, there are constantly new people who enter who enroll with high hopes of success. This helps offset any loss due to attrition.
For that very reason these companies do not strive to generate a success based system that can be duplicated by the majority of net-workers. Most net-workers don’t even realize they’re missing a critical component to their success, a marketing system to guide them and most importantly get them started on the right foot
Network Marketing, For Better Or For Worse
I don’t mean to imply that the network marketing industry has failed or that it hasn’t changed for good the life of many people, but that there would be many more successes out there if only the someone would take the time to truly enable their distributors in the most important way, that is to say: a true system of marketing for success.
Usually a new distributor gets caught up in the hype and motivational talks, that they overlook the fact that to succeed in any business in today’s economy you must have a bulletproof system behind you every step of the way. All of the positive thinking in the world isn’t going to yield results without the right action steps being implemented as well.
The truth is that without a proven marketing system, you can be the positive person on the planet and not to be successful. Simply attend any of the conventions and euphoric seminaries filled with net-workers with little or nothing to show for their efforts.
The network marketing industry has all the potential to become a great facilitator of self-employment, equality and quality of life, but for this to happen you must learn the system that has been unlocked by the top 2 to 3% and turn it into a science that anyone can learn and pass on to their team.
