A common joke among the Delhites goes around that even the panwallah of Connaught Place drives around in a BMW. This adage isn’t in thin air. Connaught Place properties are well connected by all the roads and is now on the Metro map well. Metro’s Rajiv Chowk opens into the inner circle and thus allows interrupted access to India’s hottest retail destination. Almost all major retails brands like Nike, Adidas, Samsonite etc. Major banks like ICICI, Syndicate Bank and Standard Chartered, have their branches there. Other banck like Oriental bank of Commerce, HDFC, Citibank have their ATMs in and around the inner circle.
CP is paradise for food lovers too. From QBAs, Zen, Veda, Moti Mahal, Khana Khazana, Sarvana Bhawan, McDonalds, KFC, Barista, Café Coffee Day, Costa Coffee, Blues – there’s some space for everyone here. And needless to mention the age old spots like Wengers, Keventors, Nirulas, Madras Coffee House and others. With PVR in its premises, CP is a good jaunt for kids, youngsters and oldies alike.
CP branches out to Janpath on one side and Baba Kharag Singh Marg on the other side. The latter road hosts an array of state wise emporiums. Thus, CP doesn’t limit a shopper to itself; rather it branches out to other equally lucrative shopping spots.
CP is the chief CBD in Delhi. Most of the properties here are on lease. The current rental rate for office and retail properties is around Rs 250-300 per sq. ft in the outer circle and Rs 500-600 per sq. ft in the inner one.
